Making a FaceTime Call

How to Use FaceTime Over WiFi?

FaceTime will automatically use WiFi when it is connected to a WiFi network. If your connection is slow, the video will look like it’s made up of tiny squares, and if it’s not fast enough, the video stream will stop. FaceTime can be used over cellular networks on iPhones and iPads with LTE (or a Mac connected to a hotspot). Most cell phone plans do not count FaceTime audio or regular FaceTime video as a cell phone minute. FaceTime uses up data, and the amount of data it needs depends on the device, the quality of the connection, and other factors.
